Resident List

The resident list is the most deliverable list of its kind.  This is because there are no names associated with the list itself.  Therefore, there’s no need to update the list with the national change of address.  The only change that takes place with the resident list is the boundaries of the carrier routes.  As the population grows within a given metro, the mail carrier is given instructions as to how they drive or walk their route.  So long at the res occ mailing list is provided in that sequence for that particular carrier, every single piece will be delivered.

The reason this database is the most deliverable is because there isn't a name assigned to the address.  It doesn't matter who lives there, so long at the home is occupied, the postal carrier delivers the mail to the box.  And unlike other forms of list information where the mail carrier must look at the mail to see if the people match up with the address, this list allows the carrier to simply include one mailpiece for each and every delivery point.  No double checking, just drop it in.
