Resident List
How Deliverable is a Resident List?
The resident list is the most deliverable list of its kind. This is because there are no names associated with the list itself. Therefore, there’s no need to update the list with the national change of address. The only change that takes place with the resident list is the boundaries of the carrier routes. As the population grows within a given metro, the mail carrier is given instructions as to how they drive or walk their route. So long at the res occ mailing list is provided in that sequence for that particular carrier, every single piece will be delivered.

What happens with those residents that move to Florida for the winter? So long as the resident submits a NCOA card for their mail, that delivery point will be removed from the route for the winter. Additionally, should the carrier see the mail building up at a home, they will notify the local post office of the vacant house and again, the delivery point will be removed from the list.
Since the resident list contains business delivery points also, as long as the business location appears to be occupied, the delivery point will remain on the resident mailing list. Many office units will be occupied and empty through the years so they too will be added and deleted from the resident occupant mailing list over time to keep the list accurate and deliverable.
If you’ve got questions about the deliverability of the resident list, or any other list for that matter, give BB Direct a call and we’ll be happy to help you further.
